Growing up, I was fortunate to witness my grandmother’s gift for photography firsthand. She unveiled the secrets of her craft, revealing the magic of developing photos in her own darkroom. My mother, too, possessed an innate talent for painting, although she was unable to fully explore it while raising my brothers and me. Through their artistic legacy, I discovered my own interest in drawing and soon realized my natural talent for art.
Inspired by my older brother Jim’s creative drawings and the cool graffiti-like designs he crafted on school book covers, I embarked on my own artistic journey. The encouragement and recognition from my classmates further fueled my passion. I started creating my own comic-books, drawing captivating posters, and exploring various art forms to refine my skills.
My unique painting style, is influenced by a myriad of techniques and inspirations as my brushstrokes effortlessly blend reality and imagination. From my early days as a muralist adorning cafeteria walls to winning accolades at statewide art competitions, my talent has always been fueled by passion and creativity.
